Get a Water Filtration System

Got Hard Water?  A water softening and filtration system can solve hard water problems and others such as pre-mature appliance wear, water scale, scum, and rusty pipes.

A whole-house water filtration system will filter the harsh chemicals and minerals in your water throughout your home. The system consists of a tank with at least 3 layers: activated carbon, a ion exchange resin and specialized gravel. The activated carbon and gravel filter the water and the resin softens the water.  The carbon absorbs numerous contaminants. Most systems have a backflush tank, where sodium or potassium chloride is added to clean the resin layer on a continuous basis.

The activated carbon adsorbs a variety of contaminants, including chlorine. For water softening, the Ion exchange process, the calcium and magnesium ions present in the water coming into the house are exchanged for sodium or potassium ions that are attached to resin beads. The layer of gravel helps catch any contaminants that are still present in the water.

Water filtration offers a healthier option by eliminating harsh chemicals and minerals from the water – resulting in cleaner, better tasting water.  A full house system provides this from every tap in the home. Food, prepared with softened and filtered water will taste better.  Even your morning coffee will taste better. No more having to replace the water filter in your refrigerator every 3 months.

Reduces Mineral & Rust Build-up in Appliances & Pipes

Minerals build up inside of pipes and appliances, can and cause damage and premature wear. It can also cause the appliance to become inefficient. Minerals such as chlorine can dry out rubber parts of appliances faster.

Reduce Water Scale and Scum on Showers, Sinks and Tubs

Water Filtration systems reduce scale and scum buildup – reducing the amount of harsh cleaners you need to use on your showers, toilets, sinks and tubs.  This means you won’t have to spend time scrubbing to try to remove all the buildup from your showers, sinks and other surfaces. In turn, you’ll save money on cleaning products, too. When cleaning with soft water, you won’t need to use as much soap or detergent, and you also won’t need to buy cleaning products to remove scale buildup, making many parts of your house much easier to clean.

Your Clothing Will Last Longer

With hard water, all of the detergent never fully rinses out of your clothing and over time, your clothes can become discolored.  Hard water also has chlorine, which causes clothing dyes to fade. Your clothing, towels, and bedding will last longer with a whole house filtration system.

Eliminate Water Spots on Dishes & Glassware

Removing minerals from your water will virtually eliminate water spots on glassware, dishes and pots and pans.  Just as laundry detergent doesn’t fully rinse away – dishwashing soap and dishwasher detergent doesn’t easily rinse away with hard water. That is why you see a water spots on glassware and rust spots on pots and pans. You will also use up to 50% LESS SOAP in the kitchen, laundry and even the shower.

Gentle on Skin and Hair

If Chlorine is removed from your water, you will have softer skin and less hair damage. Hard water dries out your skin and shampoo and conditioner doesn’t completely rinse out. This causes build-up on your hair.
